Knowing that most people exposed to the novel coronavirus will have little or no symptoms, we should continue to wear masks or facial coverings when out in public as we slowly reopen our communities.
Facial coverings are not necessarily for your protection but for the most vulnerable individuals in society. Included in this category are our essential workers. This includes our healthcare workers, first responders, grocery store workers, and all those deemed essential in our communities. These individuals leave home every day scared and worried about possibly catching this virus or bringing it home to their loved ones.
So when deciding if to cover your mouth and nose when in public, please remember the positive impact your decisions can have upon the health of others.
